Many Android devices provide users with an option to change the default wallpaper  through Settings -> Personalize options. However, several new devices including the Samsung Galaxy Tab, LG Nitro HD and more do not provide a straightforward option to change the default wallpaper.

If you are someone who is confused on how to change the wallpaper for your device, you can follow the simple instructions given below to apply a wallpaper of your choice to your Android device.

Step 1: Long Press (press and hold) any blank space on your screen

Step 2: You will see the "Add to home screen" option popup which will allow you to add widgets, shortcuts, folders and wallpapers to your home screen.

Step 3: Select the wallpapers option from them and then choose the wallpaper from the "Gallery" or "Live wallpapers" and then choose from it.

Step 4: Once you have chosen the wallpaper you want, click the "Set wallpaper" button and it will replace the current wallpaper.

Understandably, this is a longer process than having an option to "Personalize" your device, but it is easy nevertheless.

Just like iOS which introduced folders in iOS4, Android too allows users to create folders to store multiple items in it. Adding a folder is pretty easy but Android does not provide an easy option to rename the folder to something more rememberable.

Whenever you create or add a new folder to any Android home screen, the name remains "New folder" which is not very helpful when you add multiple folders to the same screen.

So how do you rename folders in Android? Well, it is actually pretty easy. When you add a "New folder" to a Android screen, open the folder and then long press (press and hold) the folder’s title bar where the name appears (initially "new folder"). When you do that, a dialog box "Rename folder" will appear, allowing you to enter a new name for the folder.

Enter the name of the folder in the dialog box and click on the "OK" button and your folder will be renamed. You can use the same steps to rename the folder to something else as well.

Just make sure to open the folder first so that it’s contents are visible. If you long press on the folder itself, you will be shown an option to remove it and not to change the folder name of the Android folder.

In this day and age of eBooks, there are several different formats which allow publishers to publish their books. Some of the most famous one’s are ePub format, .mobi format, PDF format and so on.

However, these formats do not have a wide known reader for Windows based PCs. If you have downloaded a file with .lit extension, you might not be able to open and read the book on your PC. .lit files were common on devices which ran Windows Mobile.

If you want to open .lit files we will offer you some ways to either open .lit eBooks and also a guide to convert the .lit books to several popular formats like ePub, PDF, .mobi and more.

First off, if you want to open a .lit book, you can download a free reader called Microsoft Reader (which will be discontinued in August 2012) by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/reader. The Microsoft Reader will allow you to open .lit files and read them. However, if you want to read the books with .lit extension you will have to convert them to another popular format like ePub, .mobi or PDF.

On the other hand you can also convert .lit books to other formats like ePub, PDF or MOBI. In order to convert .lit books to other formats you will need a software called Calibre. You can read our instructions on how to convert .lit books and ePub books.

ePub files are an open publishing format to publish books and allow them to be read on multiple devices and platforms. ePub formats are popular on mobile devices, tablets and dedicated eBook readers like the Nook and Amazon Kindle. In fact, you can also read ePub books on your PC or Mac.

However, if you don’t have a compatible device to read ePub files, you can always convert ePub books to PDF format or MOBI format or HTML format and read them on any device.

One of the most famous software and freeware you can use to convert ePub files on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux is called Calibre eBook management (Download). This software not just allows you to manage your eBooks on a computer but also supports multiple formats along with the ability to convert eBooks among different formats.

In order to convert and ePub file to PDF, MOBI or HTML format, you will first have to add the books to the Calibre library using the "Add books" button. Once you have done that, click on the book and then click on the "Convert books" button in the top menu.

Once you have clicked that button, you will be shown several formats to convert the book to. Choose the format you want to convert the book to from the "Output Format" dropdown. You can make several other changes to the output using the left hand side menu. Once you have selected all the options, click on the "OK" button and Calibre will start a job to convert the book into the desired format.

The conversion process for ePub format to PDF, MOBI or HTML make take some time. Once the conversion is finished you will find the book in the same folder as the original book.

In this age of digital books which can be read on tablets and mobiles, there are several new books formats which have come into the picture. One such book format is called ePub which is a short form for electronic publication, just like eMail is a short form for electronic mail.

ePub books allow different devices to display the books in their own format which makes it compatible on different devices. Most devices support ePub files, however, if you have downloaded a file on a PC or Mac, you won’t be able to simply open it as it is.

If you have downloaded a book in ePub format on your computer, you will have to download a special software to read it. There are several software which will allow you to open ePub files or read ePub eBooks.

One such software which allows you to open and read ePub eBooks is called Azardi, which is a free ePub reader. You can download the Azardi ePub reader from http://azardi.infogridpacific.com/html/.

Once you have downloaded and installed the Azardi ePub Reader, you can add your ePub books to the reader by right clicking on the library icon in the right hand side corner and then adding your ePub books to it.

Once you have added your ePub books to Azardi, you can then simply double click on it and open the ePub book and start reading it. You can also convert your ePub books to PDF, MOBI or HTML format and start reading it or upload it to your mobile device and read it with a compatible eBook reader app.

The error is annoying because it may happen even if you have paid your bill on time or there is no service disruption in your area. Fixing this problem could be tricky since there is no specific reasons on why this happens. However, if you are fed up of seeing this error on your TV screen here are some steps you should follow to fix the Comcast S0a00 error.

Before you try the solution please make sure you Comcast cable bill is paid. Yes, this error could show up if you have not paid your Comcast Bill. Also make sure that your Comcast connection has not been disconnected for some reason.

Solution 1: Resetting your cable box.

Sometimes the error may occur because of a problem with the cable box. This may happen due to several reasons, however, it is easily fixable by resetting the cable box. Follow the steps below to reset your cable box.

• Unplug the adapter from the back of your cable box and wait for 15-30 seconds
• Plug the adapter back in and check to see if the S0a00 error disappears
• If the error still persists move to solution 2

Solution 2: Checking the Coaxial cable connection.

The problem might occur because the Coaxial cable on the wall may not be proper. You might want to follow the instructions below to try and see if it helps.

• Turn off your Cable or HD box
• Remove the Coaxial cable from your cable box
• Check if the Coaxial cable on the wall is tightly fitted, if not try to unscrew the Coaxial cable on the wall and then screw it back tightly.
• Screw the Coaxial cable back to your cable box and check to see if it fixes the issue.
• If the problem has not fixed check Solution 3

Solution 3: Getting customer support to reset your box remotely

If nothing has worked for you so far, you can still get rid of the S0a00 error without setting up a tech call. In order to do that call 1-800-COMCAST and follow the steps to report a fault cable TV.

Explain the S0a00 error to the representative and they will try to remotely send a signal to your box to reconfigure it. Most of the times this should fix the issue.

However, if the S0a00 issue is still not fixed even after the remote signal is sent, it might be an issue with a faulty Coaxial issue or a your cable line. The issue can only be resolved by setting up a Comcast representative to do a tech visit to your house. You can set that up on call with Comcast.

Greasemonkey scripts are lightweight JavaScript files which add additionally functionality to browsers such as Firefox and Google Chrome. In the past we have talked about several interested Greasemonkey scripts which are both useful and help solve problems. One of the most recent one was removing Black bar in Google.

However, there are times when the Greasemonkey script you install might not work as expected or cause problems on other websites. If you are facing a similar problem you can easily uninstall the Greasemonkey script and get rid of the problem.

Google Chrome allows users to install Greasemonkey scripts as extensions so to uninstall scripts on Google Chrome, you will have to follow the steps given in How to uninstall apps and extensions in Google Chrome. However, if you are Firefox user and want to uninstall a Greasemonkey script, you will have to follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Click on the arrow next to the Greasemonkey icon and click on "Manage User Scripts"

Step 2: Click on "Disable" button to disable the script temporarily or click on the "Remove" button to remove the script completely.

That’s it. Once you have disable or removed the script, just refresh the webpage and your problem will be solved.

We recently received a question asking about a new executable called FacebookUpdate.exe running on a Windows PC and whether it was a virus or not? Turns out that it is not a virus and is an official software from Facebook which is used to update the software which is locally installed on a Windows PC.

Quite recently Facebook introduced a new group chat and video calling along with Group video chat with social hangouts. Facebook asked users to download a software to their local PC in order to use the video calling feature in Facebook.

If you have downloaded the said software from Facebook, you will notice that a file called FacebookUpdate.exe is added to the startup on your Windows PC. The location of the file is in your user profile folder and runs with some parameters as shown below

%USERPROFILE%\Local\Facebook\Update\FacebookUpdate.exe /c /nocrashserver

MKV files are video files which are similar to AVI and MOV formats and supports several different types of audio and video codecs. The MKV file format is an acronym for Matroska Video File.

If you have recently downloaded a MKV file, you might not be able to open it with Windows Media Player. However, there are several other free video players which will allow you to watch movies that have an MKV extension.

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, you can then just double click on the MKV file and open it or use the “File -> Open” dialog provided by these players to browse and open your MKV file.

I have a 250GB SSD and have partitioned it into 2 drives. However, I have to run regular cleanup of files and folder to make space. One of the biggest space constraints I face is in the primary drive where Windows is installed.

The reason is that I have a lot of apps and music on my iPod Touch and iTunes also takes up more than 35GB space. This has become a constant headache which I have been trying to solved. I did that by moving the iTunes Media folder location to another drive on an external device and now have lesser space constraints.

Well, moving your iTunes files and changing the sync location is definitely possible and in-fact very easy. All you have to do is to copy over the files from your iTunes folder and change the location in iTunes. I will show you how exactly it is done below.

Step 1: Locate Your iTunes Media Folder on your Computer. To do that open iTunes and then click on "Edit -> Preferences"

Step 2: In the preference Window, click on the Advanced tab and copy the media folder location as shown in the above screenshot. Do not close the Preference window yet as we will require it for a future step.

Step 3: Open a explorer window and paste the location you copied in step 2 in the address bar. This will open the folder where iTunes stores the media files.

Step 4: If you want to clear up space, just cut the entire folder and move it to another drive or an external drive. Make sure to note the location of the folder in the other drive because we will need it in step 5.

Step 5: Now go back to the iTunes Advanced tab you opened in step 2 and click on the "Change" button and point it to the new location you copied or moved the files in Step 4.

That’s it. iTunes will now sync your music, movies, books and more to your new location. If you are using an external drive, just make sure that you attach it before you sync your device with iTunes.

Moving the backup location for iTunes is a little bit more difficult and I will be covering it in the next article. For Mac users, the steps should be similar and easy to perform as well. Just use the Finder instead of Explorer to move your iTunes media files over.
